The Internet has opened a vast network of birding and conservation information to the average citizen. From “conservation alerts” to mailing lists to information packed web sites, we have the power at our fingertips to make a difference like never before. We have provided links to resources which we find to be particularly useful for our members. If there is a non-commercial website that you feel should be added, please contact our webmaster .

Injured / Orphaned Birds

***IT IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE UNDER THE MIGRATORY BIRD ACT TO CARE FOR A MIGRATORY BIRD WITHOUT A FEDERAL PERMIT***

Do not attempt to pick up an injured hawk or large owl - their talons can be dangerous. If possible, put a large box over the bird then place a weight on the box to protect it from cats until help can arrive.
